After our last post, Mom spoke with each of the counties that would be a possibility for us to work with. None of them thought they'd have children to match us.
We were unsure of what to do and definitely discouraged. Daddy decided to call the director at Bethany Christian Services to see how much it would cost to pay for their services ourselves. After talking to Daddy, she presented our case to their board and they decided to make an exception for us as we seem to be a family they wanted to work with. So we can continue our sponsored status and have no expenses. What an answer to prayer!
Unfortunately, during the process of BCS not keeping us and then changing their minds, the state took away our license! So now we are waiting on our background checks to come back in order to once again have an active status as a foster/adopt family.
In the meantime, our new caseoworker, H. came to visit us last Monday. We are very thankful that we have a good connection with her. We think she'll represent our family well.
I'll post again when the background checks are complete...or there's another bump in the road! :)

I know it seems like a step backward, but I also know in the future you will look back and see God's hand in the timing of everything. Praise God you have an agency that will work with you in a fashion you can afford. We're praying that your prayers are answered soon.
