One Step Forward

The past few months we have inquired into several sibling groups and each time we were turned down...it got to be a bit discouraging. Then last week our caseworker, H., called us regarding a group of 3 children: A 5 year old girl, 4 year old boy and 1 year old girl. They sounded very interesting and we even got to read their "social history" which has never happened on any of our other inquiries. (A social history is basically why they got to where they're at now...sad to read, but good to know.) So we sent in our homestudy. We didn't want our hopes to get too high...we've been 'rejected' 12 times over the last year...but we all really wanted them to be our children.


Yesterday, H. called to say that their caseworker wants to meet us!!! WOW!!! We are thrilled. This is the furthest we have ever gotten in the past year to child placement.

-a good connection with the caseoworker,

-that we would ask all the right questions,

-that everyone involved would have peace if this is the right thing for us and for those 3 children,

-and that they would be our children.
