The White Fence Farm is hosting a party for Adoption Exchange where caseworkers, prospective parents and waiting children get to meet and interact. We are signed up for the 4 hour event. We were told that a sibling group of 3 that we are interested in will most likely be there. We want to pray that the Lord would guide our conversations and that we could bless those we are with, whatever the outcome might be. Again, it's this Wednesday from 10:30-2:00.
In September it will be 2 years since we began this process. It is a good thing to desire children and it is a good thing to care for orphans, but God doesn't always grant every good desire. We have been given the opportunity to be patient and to trust and it has been very good. With our home study running out in November we have decided not to renew it unless a child has been placed with us. (Renewal would require over 30 hours of additional training.)
We'll see what happens...
